Health and Safety Policy Statement
Ayerst Environmental Ltd is committed to:
- Ensuring that we comply with the Health and Safety at Work (etc) Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
- Giving Health & Safety equal priority to the company’s other activities, obligations and duties.
- Ensuring that sufficient resources are made available, for the implementation of our health and safety arrangements.
- Providing and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees who work on the company’s premises and at other locations, along with safe conditions for all other persons who may be affected by our operations.
- Performing our work in the safest practicable manner which is consistent with approved codes of practice, industry guidance and best practice.
- Striving to continuously improve our health and safety performance and implement improvements that become available through technological advances.
- Ensuring our Directors, Managers, Surveyors, Analysts and all other employees do everything that is reasonably practicable to prevent injury and work related ill health to themselves as well as others that could be affected by our operations and to protect the company’s assets.
- Providing where necessary information, training, advice and supervision to our employees and others that could be effected by our operations, ensuring that they can work safely and competently. Ensure that our customers and the general public are protected from any risk to their health and safety as a result of our operations.
- Regularly developing, reviewing and auditing our Health & Safety Guidance System, risk assessments, safe systems of work and health and safety performance to ensure that inadequacies are identified and corrected.
- Consulting with our employees on matters that could affect their health, safety and welfare.
- Providing and maintaining safe equipment that is suitable for the work that we undertake.
- Continuously assess our operations to identify potential hazards, particularly in relation to the risk of exposure to asbestos fibres. Develop, implement and maintain health and safety control measures to eliminate hazards or reduce them so far as is reasonably practicable.
It is the obligation of all company employees to adhere to this policy and ensure its implementation.
